Want to know a little decorating trick I’ve learned? Extra long shower curtains can help disguise a shower area you don’t love. They go up higher, covering tile that isn’t your favorite and the shower head coming out of the wall. I’m sharing twelve of the best 84” extra long shower curtains from Amazon.

I don’t know about you, but I have a certain spot that I sit on the couch every night while we’re watching tv. From “my spot” I can see right into the guest bathroom on the main floor. While I love that space, and the floral shower curtain I have in there, the floral of the curtain clashes with the floral wallpaper I have in the hallway right outside of the room.

Would anyone else notice this?? Probably not. Does it still bug me? You bet!

Also, I don’t like that I can see the nickel shower head over the top of the shower curtain. It’s totally not my style, but works just fine, so there is no need to have it changed out. In our master bathroom, I used an 84” extra long shower curtain to hide the shower that I don’t love. I’ve decided that this decorating trick will work great in the guest bathroom too!

Since I did a deep dive on Amazon for 84” shower curtains, I thought I would share the ones that caught my eye! When I get my new one in, I’ll update the post with a picture of how it looks. Also, let’s be honest, while I was on order one, I decided to refresh our master bathroom with a new shower curtain as well.

I know that shower curtains might not be the in-style thing for bathrooms anymore. Almost all the magazines and design shows have bathrooms with glass-enclosed showers or glass shower doors.

At this point in time, though, that’s not an option for either of our bathrooms. Honestly, down the road if we were to remodel, I still don’t know if I would choose to do that. I like that, with a curtain, I’m not on parade while I’m in the shower. Also, I’m pretty sure I would be terrible at keeping the glass clean…and then it would look terrible. Finally, we keep a lot of products in the shower—I wouldn’t want all of them to be on display.

The other cool part about having shower curtains instead of glass doors is that you can change up the look of your bathroom so easily! There are so many different colors, designs, and styles of curtains—you can get a whole new vibe, just by switching out the shower curtain. Budget friendly and easy are my two favorites while decorating!

I am so excited to get the two extra long shower curtains that I ordered! I’ll share the ones that I got below…in case you’re interested!

Mostly white bathroom with a clawfoot tub. The shower curtain is black and white striped.

This is the one I got for the guest bathroom. It is going to look so good popping against the floral wallpaper in our hallway!

Mostly white. bathroom with a clawfoot tub. The shower curtain is white with black tribal pattern on it.

Is it awkward that I’ve already had this shower curtain in our master bathroom…but I’m ordering it again? I had it in the standard 72” length before, but want it in the extra long 84” length to cover our ugly tile, so I can’t wait to get it!

Whether you’ve never had an extra long shower curtain before or you’re just shopping for a new one, I hope that you will find one here that you like!
