My Favorite Patio Picks from Target
It's been a long, cold winter here in Iowa. We always talk about the weather here...it's what we do. And this winter has been the subject of just about every convo we've had lately. Like...where does it get off being so cold, so snowy, and so looooonnnngggg?? It has me dreaming of Spring and hoping that it will get here soon! I'm excited to get some outdoor furniture for our new house...a deck and a patio! Hooray! I've been drooling over some pieces from Target and thought I'd share a few of my favorites with you. It's going to be such a hard choice! Happy shopping!
When you live in Iowa, you want to make the most of being outdoors when the weather is nice. Part of enjoying what your home has to offer, and your surroundings, is making sure you have things to do! We have loved working on projects around our home and then enjoying relaxing around our Solo Stove fire pit in the evening—it’s the perfect way to unwind. Even better? Inviting friends and family over to take advantage of the experience with us!
Need an easy, relatively inexpensive way for your patio umbrellas to stand up? I’m sharing the DIY Patio Pot Umbrella Stands I made for our backyard space. It’s a beginner-level project that will impress the neighbors!
Are you looking for a fun way to use your fall pumpkins when the season is done? How about making pumpkin bird feeders? They’re easy to make, sustainable, and are completely edible for birds and furry friends alike!
Do you have outdoor furniture that has seen better days? Have you ever thought about painting it? I painted the cushions on our outdoor sectional and I love the way they turned out! A big return on a small investment is my favorite kind of DIY project! I’m sharing all the details with you in this blog post, so you can decide if you want to try it too!
Adding string lights to our garden space has created such a special and magical feel. I love how it looks so much and want to share how we made our DIY outdoor string light poles. Even better? We hung solar string lights since there isn’t an electrical outlet in that part of the yard—they work so well!
Have you ever noticed how expensive patio and deck planters are? I’m sharing a budget-friendly project, turning old metal file cabinets into modern design planter boxes. Whether you have a couple taking up space in your garage/basement or pick some up at the thrift store, this upcycle is sure to please.
