All About Billy Buttons

Billy what, you say? Wikepedia tells me they’re a real flower (Craspedia—you can read about them here) native to Australia, also known as woolyheads—equally cute! I’ve loved these tiny, cheerful stems of goodness ever since the first time I saw them.

Every time I use them in a space, they always get comments. My favorites one I’ve found were from Hobby Lobby. I should have bought as many as I could while they had them, because now they’ve changed the style (you can buy them here). I still like them…but it’s not love.

Other than the obvious cuteness factor of Billy Buttons, they are a fantastic accent…the perfect pop of color without being too loud or intrusive in your space. I am totally having a yellow moment right now, but then I discovered the flowers in a beautiful silvery blue! I bought them at Kirkland’s and, again, should have bought all of them, because now they’re nowhere to be found.
